A unique concert presentation exploring the creative exchange between the legendary cellist Mstislav Rostropovich and Soviet Jewish composers. Renowned cellist Yosif Feigelson honors his teacher, Rostropovich, with a live performance interpolating stories and images contextualizing this interesting musical legacy.

Feigelson will feature compositions associated with his famous teacher-mentor, highlighting works composed for Rostropovich by composers of Jewish heritage such as Moishe (Mieczyslaw) Weinberg and Alfred Schnittke, as well as selections by Bach and Britten.

4:30 p.m.: Doors open
5:00 p.m.: Concert/lecture begins
6:15 p.m.: Q&A with the performer
6:30 p.m.: Reception with light refreshments and cash bar.
