The use of images can bring family histories to life and make family stories real. Mike Karsen is a popular speaker who demonstrates how to “liven up” your family history with images of people, places, and events.

Learn how to make your family history an exciting vehicle for “time travel” back to the days when our grandparents and great-grandparents lived and raised their families.

Karsen has presented over 300 talks locally, nationally, and internationally, including several at International Conferences on Jewish Genealogy. He is Past President of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois and a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Genealogical Speakers Guild.  His publications include the “Guide to Jewish Genealogy in Chicagoland” on JewishGen.

Special Feature: JGSGB members will share their family history books and scrapbooks in JGSGB’s first “Family History Pop-Up Exhibit.” 12:30 to 4 pm.
