Beginner’s Workshop in Jewish Genealogy

Experienced researchers Carol Clingan and Debra Lerner will show beginning researchers how to start their Jewish family research. Carol and Debra will explain how to use major data bases, archives and the principal sources of online records.

The workshop is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Pay for the workshop at the door. The $15 non-member fee will also include admission to the 1:30 pm JGSGB program.

At noon there will be an optional kosher Buffet Lunch for $18. Advance reservations for the lunch are required and must be purchased online by October 10. Lunch cannot be purchased at the event. Click here for more information and to register for the Buffet Lunch.

At 1:30 pm Nolan Altman will present The Genealogical Value of Jewish Burial Records. Free for members. $5 for non-members.

The Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston is dedicated to helping people discover and research their Jewish family history. JGSGB welcomes beginners and has expert members with a broad range of skills in various research techniques who are happy to help others.
