Becoming a parent can feel overwhelming. In this program, you will learn and practice essential skills of mindfulness and meditation used for centuries and supported by modern science. These tools will nurture a kindhearted presence for you and your expanding new family.
This six-week mindfulness program will help expectant parents with balancing the mind, body and heart before their baby arrives. The program will be led by Lauren E. Rubin, MA. Since 2004, Lauren has volunteered in the Lauren & Mark Rubin Visiting Moms® program and facilitated a weekly drop-in new parent support group. She holds a BA in psychology and an MA in mindfulness studies. Lauren practices Insight/Vipassana meditation and is currently participating in mindfulness teacher training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.
When: Wednesdays, Sept. 25, Oct. 2, Oct. 16, Oct. 23, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6
